Dear Potential Farmers Market Sponsor:
The 2008 Farmers Market Season was by all accounts a terrific success. Total sales were up by 24% over 2007. Average sales per vendor per week were up 114%. We had 20,000 customers visit the market in 2008. The Richmond Times Dispatch named our market “The Best Kept Secret in Goochland” (Read the full article: http://tinyurl.com/cschtp) This year’s market will be bigger and better than ever, with a great line-up of vendors, entertainers, demonstrations and children’s programs and activities.
The mission of the Goochland Farmers Market is to inspire our community to live in a way that nurtures our farmers, enhances our environment, supports creativity and educates consumers. By providing a sustainable marketplace, we stimulate the economy and raise awareness of the need to strengthen the connections between our land, our health and our future. It is our focus to promote our sponsors’ businesses at every opportunity and that each sponsor realizes a valuable return from their investment in support of the Goochland Farmers Market!
What will your role be in helping to sustain the rural culture of the community? We hope you will consider becoming an official Sponsor of the Goochland Farmers Market. Your sponsorship will mean that the Goochland Farmers Market can continue to provide quality, sustainably produced products to the community and our rural character can be preserved.
Please let us know what level of Sponsorship you or your organization can commit to today. We are counting on your support!
Sincerely,

Lisa M. Dearden
Executive Director
